July Is Warming Up

Since our last post, we attended the 7 hour training we needed. It was informative - we learned some new things. The training even included an adoption attorney who taught and that was really interesting. There was a lot of mumbo jumbo taught too - that was to be expected though. We even met another couple planning to adopt one child from Colombia through CHI there as well so that was neat.

We began our new vehicle search this weekend. We only looked at one van but it was a start. Not much else new to share on the adoption front right now. At this point, Karl and I are strongly leaning towards sticking to our original adoption plan. Made a call to discuss some things. Still waiting for a call back.

A friend inspired me with her reports of "Spring Cleaning" so I have been doing some organizing in my "free" time. It has felt really good. I have been inspired to plan and set some goals for the summer.

We had a lovely weekend together. Karl had Monday off. Over the weekend, we had fun, got some errands done, cleaned out our overstuffed master bedroom closet, fellowshipped with some families from church and celebrated Independence Day. It was great. For fun, we watched some of the Drive Thru History DVD's which I highly recommend!

We are SOOOOOO excited about the reunion on Saturday! It will be a fun time to meet and talk with other Colombia adoptive families. This is a highlight we look forward to the whole year!
