Our 2nd Home Study visit on Monday night lasted from 6:30 - 10:15. It was exhausting. It felt like we had been hit by a train...and then dragged behind it for hours! It was a doozy. The two of us commiserated over cake and ice cream and talked about the events and conversations of the evening.
It is completed but left us with more questions than answers. It was discouraging in multiple ways.
We still need much prayer - petitions that the Lord would make it abundantly and unmistakably clear as to who He would like us to add to our family. Bless you, thank you!
At this point, it has been decided that we will not be able to "finish" the Home Study until this section can be completed. All the other sections can be done but we will now have to wait until we get this resolved. (When we are certain about these details, then the report can be completed and submitted to DCFS for draft approval.)
Saturday is our long-awaited 7 hour in-person training. I hope it is beneficial!
A nasty virus attacked our poor computer. We are slowly inching towards getting it repaired and are therefore behind on emails, blog stuff, etc! Ugh!
One last thing to end this post, I finished the Adopted for Life book and it was awesome - a must read! Get it, read it! You'll be challenged by it, encouraged by it, inspired by it!
