We have been having a great time with Gammy & Grandpa. We arrived on Friday after absolutely grueling traffic but arrived safely and were thankful. Anyway, we have been having a nice visit!
Saturday we had a really fun time when the 7 of us hit a huge neighborhood garage sale. The kids were thrilled because that is what they really hoped would be possible. It was a great day and we all got a lot of exercise, laughs and a few bargains too. Afterwards, we enjoyed a yummy lunch at Culvers together. In the evening, Karl and I even were able to go out on a date - a real rarity since parenthood.
Today has been a good day with family mealtimes, recreation and even a little shopping trip. Tonight we are packing up and getting ready to head out of here in the morning.
Being away from the routine is both good and bad. It's been nice but after a while everyone starts to fritz out. We are getting to that point! One more day and we'll all be extra ready to return home.
Karl has meetings in Peoria tomorrow so we are looking forward to a day there and hoping to have some special time to catch up with friends before we have to return home on Tuesday morning. Please come on Monday if you are able, between 11 - 2! Email me if you need more details!
