No update today from the Lawyer. I am not really surprised. We are hoping to hear something tomorrow.
Things are going well here. We had another leisurely day and actually finished the 500 piece puzzle - the highlight of the day! We did head out to the little mall that is within walking distance and managed to buy 10 pencils, 5 erasers, a pack of 12 balloons, and a few beverages. Buying mosquito repellent was an ordeal since everything they sell here is strange and ineffective. We didn't find any inflatable beach balls. The money exchange office wouldn't take Karl's certified copy of his passport even though the same guy works every time and has seen our family three times now and already saw Karl's actual passport and made a photo copy. That was a big disappointment. Oh well, we will have to trek over there again tomorrow to exchange $300 to give to the lawyer for odds and ends expenses for things to complete the adoption here in Cali.
Bedtime conversations were sweet with the girls tonight. We stayed up about an hour past bedtime talking about life and things. I guess during the day is so busy with the younger kids and it is hard for L & J to have one on one opportunities to communicate with me or Karl. So tonight when I tucked the girls in, it was really nice to have that special bonding time. I tuck them in and pray with them, sing a song, and we are able to exchange lots of loving sentiments to each other. I am so glad to have these girls as our daughters. We are praying that the Lord continues to give us wisdom in this multi-faceted parenting endeavor and that all of our children would become His children.
We started working on where to stay when we travel to Bogota and thankfully a friend recommended an apartment that is very nice, spacious, and more affordable than the adoption B and B's for a family our size. We contacted the owner and it looks like that is where we will stay when we leave Cali.
